Kaitlyn earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Xavier University and achieved a Master of Science from Governors State University. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, a Certified Pediatric Nurse and certified in Basic Life Support. She is on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.
Kaitlyn formerly worked at a Bedford Park Urgent Care, performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating acute walk-in illnesses and injuries, reading x-rays, administering and reading TB skin tests, giving injections and placing sutures (stitches). She has experience working with NICU, critical care, newborns and pediatric wellness.
Here at Alzein Pediatrics, Kaitlyn conducts wellness visits, and evaluates, diagnoses, and treats pediatric illnesses and injuries. She evaluates newborns in the hospitals and then focuses on their care as they grow. Kaitlyn is a valuable resource for families, as she encourages questions and emphasizes education in her appointments.

Growing up, Kaitlyn was a competitive Irish Step Dancer. She is married to her high school sweetheart Nick and they have a son and two daughters. She is a White Sox fan and loves Notre Dame football.
