Dr. Joanne Sundermeier is retiring from a long and successful pediatric career today.
Dr. Alzein says, “Dr. Sundermeier has been a positive, valuable colleague for over four years and Alzein Pediatrics just won’t be the same without her. We will miss her very much.”
Dr Sundermeier herself has mixed emotions about retiring. “Alzein Pediatrics has been a wonderful place to round off and end my pediatric career. I loved seeing and helping to care for families from such diverse backgrounds that all shared one thing in common – wanting the best for their children. I will miss these families but keep them in my heart.”
We know our patient families will miss her too. If you’d like to send a note to Dr. Sundermeier, you can click here and leave your message on our Facebook page.
While we will dearly miss Dr. Sundermeier, she says she will miss the Alzein Pediatric staff family as well. “The entire staff does function as a family, watching out for and helping one another.”
During her retirement, Dr. Sundermeier is looking forward to spending time in the great outdoors and says, “If I hadn’t become a doctor, I would have been a forest ranger.” (There’s still time for that, Dr. S!)
We hope Dr. Sundermeier enjoys nature for many years to come, enjoying good health and secure in the knowledge that she’s helped hundreds of children enjoy good health and wellness too.
Best wishes on your retirement, Dr. Sundermeier!
