Alzein Pediatrics is now offering the Pfizer vaccine to anyone over the age of 12 (they don’t have to be our patients) at personal appointments, at your convenience, in our Evergreen Park office. This vaccine is FREE of charge. Please click here to schedule a vaccine appointment.

The Pfizer vaccine is FDA-approved for anyone over the age of 12. You and your child will need two injections, 21 days apart. Based on evidence from clinical trials, the vaccine is 95% effective in preventing COVID-19. Side effects can include:
You and Your 12-Yrs and Above Child Should Expect Side Effects of the Pfizer Vaccine Such as:
- Pain, redness, and swelling at the injection site
- Fatigue
- Fever and chills
- Headache
- Overall muscle pain
- Nausea
These side effects should disappear within a few days and are signs that your immune system is working to build protection. Side effects are experienced more frequently after the second shot.
